Museum Camp

Beginning June 2008, join us each week for our four day Museum Art Camp for kids ages 3 through 12. You’ll share many exciting artistic journeys with creative hands-on projects and adventurous museum gallery experiences.

  • Use paint, clay, tree branches and much more!
  • Explore drama!
  • Hike our trails.
  • Work with contemporary artists.
  • Create your own art stories!

Museum Art Camp is presented by a team of experienced museum educators and visiting artists. Children make personal connections to art through hands-on learning. Classes take place in air-conditioned galleries and art studios. Morning classes are from 9 am to 12 noon, and afternoon classes are from 1 to 4 pm A supervised lunch period is provided for campers enrolled in both morning and afternoon sessions; campers must bring their own sack lunch and drink. More information will be provided in the Spring of 2008.

Weekly Art Camp Fees (Tuesday-Friday)

Palm Springs Art Museum Members:

  • Half day: $90
  • Full day: $160

Nonmembers

  • Half day: $110
  • Full day: $185

Week of July 1-3, ONLY (all classes are half day sessions only)
Palm Springs Art Museum Members:
Half day: $70
Nonmembers:
Half day: $90

Multi-child Discount

Enroll more that one child from the same family in a single session per week and receive a $10 discount off the total. All discounts must be taken at the time of registration.

Supervised Lunch Period

The Art Museum will provide a supervised lunch period with activities from 12 noon to 1 p.m. for children enrolled in BOTH morning and afternoon sessions. Children must bring a sack lunch and drink. Sorry, cafe services are NOT available.

Scholarships

The Palm Springs Art Museum awards a limited number of need-based scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, the Art Museum will reduce class fees for applicants demonstrating need. All applications for scholarship and reduced fees are confidential. Refunds

All refund requests must be made two weeks prior to the first class meeting. No refunds will be made after this time. Fifteen percent of the class fee is retained by the Art Museum for administrative purposes. If the Art Museum cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded. Classes will be cancelled if enrollment falls below five students.


The Museum's permanent collection of more than 55,000 objects features art of the Americas and 20th-century California art. The collection includes modernist and contemporary painting and sculpture, Western American art, Native American and Mesoamerican art and artifacts, contemporary studio glass art, photography, modern architecture and design, and graphics/works on paper.
